Smoked herring – a dried and smoked herring having a reddish color-smoked herring. a small, oily fish, that has been split in a butterfly fashion from tail to head along the dorsal ridge, gutted, salted or pickled, and cold-smoked over smouldering woodchips.

 It can be used as an appetizer, you can create many dishes, from fritters, to dip and even a spread. Used the same way as salt fish, this wonderful tasty fish provides tons of flavor and cooks very quickly.
